How do I book classes and join Gym Juniors?

You can book online or visit our gym

How much is membership?

Our memberships start from just £4.85 per class**

What is the annual joining fee?

A joining fee of £16 is taken to cover the members card, t-shirt, skills certificates and admin.

Is there a family discount available for more than one child?

Yes, we offer a 2 for 1 on the joining fee i.e. £16 for two children

Can I miss a class or take a break for holidays?

Yes, if you take the child out of the class with a minimum of 2 hours notice, your account will be credited ‘one class’. You will then be able to attend another class with availability within 4 weeks of the original class.

How do I cancel membership?

You can cancel memberships any time after the first month has expired. By cancelling you will lose your weekly class place.

Gymnastics & Freestyle

How do I book my child in a class?

You can book your class, once you have completed the membership sign-up.

When should we arrive for the class?

Please arrive at the gym, approx. 5-10 minutes before the class starts.

What should my child wear?

We encourage our members to wear their Gym Juniors T-shirt. The correct clothing for class is shorts/leggings with the T-shirt or a leotard. We do not allow footwear on the gym floor. Other requests are:

  • long hair is tied back
  • no jewellery
  • no food is allowed during class
  • children encouraged to visit the bathroom before class starts

Can I watch the class?

Yes, you are welcome to stay and watch the class

Can I change my child’s class time?

Yes, we can transfer, depending on availability.

Does a parent/guardian need to stay in the gym during class time?

Parents of children are encouraged to stay, particularly pre-school age.

Parties

How do I book a party?

You can register for parties on our app or online, then we can make contact and make the booking at the gym. Please make sure you book well in advance (7 days minimum).

How long are Gym Juniors parties?

Each party gets one hour in the gym and 30 minutes in the reserved party area

How many children can attend a party?

A minimum of 6 kids for a pre-school party and 10 kids for older age group. Our gym can be booked in its entirety for up to 40 kids.

Do you provide food and drink?

Our party packages are bring your own food, we provide jugs of fruit squash to drink. We have agreed discount deals with neighbouring restaurants to allow you to ‘party on’ after the gym.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Latest Information

The government has stated that the UK is prepared for all eventualities regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). With new cases emerging in the UK, we want to keep you in the loop with safety information.

How might COVID-19 (Coronavirus) effect my child’s classes?

We know that the current situation regarding the coronavirus is concerning for everyone, our team regularly keep up to date with Government guidelines to ensure our gym remain safe.

Classes as well as all other activities at Gym Juniors will continue as normal, ensuring our gymnasts and freestylers continue being active and having lots of fun.

If your child is unwell or displays the following symptoms: a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, please stay at home and contact our team to arrange make-up classes

What is Gym Juniors session capacity?

At the moment, our class sessions have no more than 20 children taking part at the same time.

Are there any new procedures to follow at Gym Juniors?

We will continue to the monitor the ongoing developments and take on guidance from the government. We support the advice that hand hygiene should be strongly promoted and encouraged, with our members and parents taking on board our ‘hand washing’ requests. As a matter of course, we have increased our on-site cleaning of high use areas at the end of each session.

How do I book a make-up class?

Please inform our team at edinburgh@gymjuniors.co.uk directly to arrange make-up classes once you have returned to the gym.

Will I receive a refund for my missed classes?

As per our terms and conditions we will not be issuing refunds, however we are able to provide make-up classes for your child once they return to the gym and credit the account in the normal way.

Should I keep my child at home because of COVID-19 (Coronavirus)?

Public Health Scotland is advising that it’s not necessary for schools or after school clubs to close to stem the spread of coronavirus. In most cases, children only need to stay at home if there’s a chance that they could already have coronavirus.

How can I protect myself and my family from COVID-19 (Coronavirus)?

We advise all families to follow the latest NHS guidance as well as Government and HSE guidelines as below:

  • Wash hands regularly with soap and water or a hand sanitiser, especially after coughing and sneezing, before handling or eating food
  • Use disposable tissues when coughing or sneezing and dispose of used tissues carefully and promptly
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who appear unwell and avoid sharing personal items

If you or your child is unwell or displays any of the following symptoms: a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, please stay at home. Should you be worried about your child’s symptoms seek medical advice and please inform our team as soon as you are able.

If your family has visited a hotspot recently, please follow the most up-to-date Government advice and inform our team urgently.

It’s important that we have your child’s most up-to-date medical information, as well as contact information for you as a parent (email addresses as well as telephone numbers). Please ensure that your information on the membership by updating your account on our website or APP.

What will happen if there is an outbreak at our gym?

In the worst-case scenario, our team is well prepared and have a plan in place should an outbreak occur in our gym. Parents will be informed immediately and the gym will close with immediate effect.
